Mindfulness/Resilience and Relaxation Techniques Training & team building workshops are available for staff.
I am a qualified an accredited Mindfulness, Meditation and Resilience instructor (SMART foundations) and can deliver fun and easy to understand training sessions about how to integrate these practices into your everyday life and work, as a tool to cope with anxiety, depression, or create some space in a busy mind, or a busy life. I can also offer a relaxation session incorporating mindfulness and a tension releasing visualization.
Mindful Movement Classes, blend gentle chair based exercise designed for elderly people using props and the imagination, with a focus on the breath and on noticing mindfully during the movements. This can be a mixed group including people with and without dementia and with a variety of disabilities. It contains singing, relaxing sounds and music and the second half is always gentle relaxation with a beautiful visualization meditation.
Mindful Movement and gentle relaxation sessions usually last an hour.
I run meditation and mindfulness technique classes in the community for a wide variety of client groups including:
the elderly, adults with learning disabilities, parents of children with special needs and women who have suffered abuse.
I also teach mindful drawing. All young children are confident artists, I have seen the joy of drawing return to people during my workshops, who begin to see themselves as an artist once again.
Some of these workshops can be as short as an hour,
or can be done as a sequence of sessions for a more in depth experience.
