About me: Hannah Hill
I specialise in working with elderly people
and people with learning disabilities.
(I do also work with a wide range
of ages and abilities including children).
I really enjoy communicating with people and finding ways in which people can communicate and tell their stories , through puppets, painting, textiles, and many other creative mediums.
My qualifications and experience.
My career has predominantly been as a freelance community arts worker, working with people of all ages and abilities. I have focused on acquiring the skills and qualifications to strengthen my delivery of this role.

BA Hons degree in Illustration

studied textiles, jewellery design and puppetry*(including Puppetry as Therapy)
(*at the Brighton School of Puppetry).

NVQ level 2 in Developmental Care

Care Certificate including specialisms in Dementia care and care for people with learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Understanding Dementia, through the University of Tasmania

Dementia and the Arts, through the University College London.
Throughout my career as a freelance community arts worker, I have run workshops and performed in many different care settings, as well as in schools and at public events.
I currently run a weekly groups in drama, well being and art for adults with learning disabilities called VizAbility (part of the Oyster Project Charity). I run weekly expressive puppetry sessions and a weekly art and craft group in various residential homes and day centres.
I also jointly run the group We perform musical puppet shows at theatres, parties and festivals and run workshops for Adults with and without learning disabilities and children, in local schools and community centres.
